What every member should know…

Covid Protocols, as determined by the CDC and local authorities, must be adhered to by all when at Penllyn Club. The health and safety of our staff, members, and guests is top priority.

Our Stewards, representing Penllyn Club Board of Governors, have the responsibility and authority to successfully manage day-to-day operation of our Club. Members are expected to support those efforts and respect the Steward’s living quarters, as well as the “backyard area” off the rear porch, as private. Neither are to be entered by members, except by permission or invitation of the Stewards.

The Club Season opens Memorial Day Weekend and closes on Labor Day. Given lifeguard availability and favorable weather conditions, the Club Season may extend to mid-September.

A Calendar of Events is posted in the “member section” of the Club website – www.penllynclub.com (password “swimclub”) and pre-event e-blasts are also sent to each member’s email.

Member Dues for the coming season will be mailed mid-February. Accounts not paid by May 1st will be charged a $50.00 late-fee. Accounts not paid by June 1st will be charged a $100.00 late-fee. Accounts with House Charges outstanding beyond 30-days from the Fall-billing will also be subject to a late-fee.Non-payment of the above may result in suspension or termination of Club privileges.

Membership Status Changes (marriage, additional children, etc.) must be reported to the Membership Chair, Amanda Cobb – penllynmembership@gmail.com, and Club Administrator, Lori Bowen – bowenlori5@gmail.com.

Member Resignations must be received by the Membership Chair and Club Administrator before March 15th to avoid full payment of annual dues.

Court Reservation is easy and recommended. To reserve a tennis or paddle court use the Club's Ballbutton app (https://www.ballbutton.com), select an available court and time slot, then book your reservation. Walk-ons are welcome; however, players with a reservation do have court priority. For access to the Ballbutton app, or help scheduling a court, contact Tim Ely – email: timothysely@gmail.com; mobile: 610-592-5598.

Girls 13 and under are asked to use the third-floor dressing room.

Children 15 and under must be supervised by an adult while at the Club.

Guests are restricted to five visits per year and must be accompanied by the member-host
each visit. Charges are $7.00 per visit, per guest. The full name of each guest must be registered on the member-designated page in the guest book. Special arrangements can be made for an
au pair or nanny – please direct requests to the President.

House Charges (sodas, tennis balls, etc.) must be recorded on the member-designated page
in the chit book, which is kept in the pop house (this is an “honor-system” arrangement). Note: there is a $20 per-season minimum, per-household.

Our Dress Code is common-courtesy based – nice attire for teas and socials, proper attire and shoes for all on the tennis courts – so be comfortable, and considerate.

Cell Phones have become a necessary attachment for some of us. So, if a phone conversation is required while at the Club, please be considerate and have it well out of earshot of others.

Recycling and Trash containers are conveniently placed around the Club and all members are expected to clean-up after themselves, which includes returning carts, chairs, and tables to where they are stored.

No Dogs or Pets are to be brought on Club property by members or their guests.
