Tennis Rules

Courts, weather permitting, are available for play from 8:30 a.m. until dark, mid-April to mid-November.

Members and guests are asked to honor the following rules.

Reserving a Court:

  1. Reservations are for 90 minutes.

  2. Members may reserve a court with the Ballbutton App.

  3. If a court is free, you may use it until someone with a reservation arrives.

  4. If a Member who has reserved a court does not show up within 15 minutes of the start time of the reservation, the reservation is forfeited if someone else wishes to use the court.

  5. Members may not reserve or sign up for two consecutive time periods.

  6. Groups may arrange to reserve a court for a certain day of the week and time period for the entire season. Availability will be on a first-come basis.

Playing:

  1. When playing on the Har-Tru courts (courts 1, 2, and 3) members must wear flat-soled tennis shoes. Inappropriate footwear will damage the surface of the court. Parents, please supervise your children in this regard.

  2. Members and their guests must wear appropriate tennis attire and shoes.

  3. Children 13 and under may play on courts 1, 2, and 3 only if playing with an adult.

  4. Courts, due to weather conditions, may be closed on occasion. Please consult with the Stewards as to when play can be resumed.

Sweeping and brushing:

  1. When you are finished playing on the Har-Tru courts please sweep the entire court, from the net to the back fence, and brush the lines. This helps to maintain the condition of the courts.

  2. When finished, hang brooms, gather up your stuff, and leave things looking nice for the next players.
